The theme for the study day is “Occupational Therapists working for Recovery”, and is open to current and/or 2008 members of AOTI only.
The outline of the day is as follows: Time 10-11 am Registration & Coffee 11-12pm Presentation 12-12.45pm AGM 12.45- 1.30pm Lunch 1.30-2.30pm Presentation 2.30-3.30pm Presentation The Study Day will offer occupational therapists working in Mental Health an opportunity to network and engage in CPD. The cost of attending is €20 and includes coffee and light refreshments. Lunch is not included in the cost. Details of the presentations will be circulated once formalised. The Mental Health Advisory Group works to represent a voice for occupational therapists’ working in mental health settings in Ireland. The group is directly linked to the Association of Occupational Therapists of Ireland (AOTI) and are dedicated to the development of the national profile of occupational therapists working in Ireland. The AGM for the MHAG will also take place on that day. The AGM is open to 2008 members of MHAG only. Nominations are now being sought for all committee positions; closing date for applications is the 22nd December 2008. Positions for nomination include: Chairperson, Vice-chairperson, Treasurer, Secretary, Chair of submissions sub-group, Chair of public information sub-group, Chair of OT Managers’ sub-group (must be a member of the Managers’ group), Members’ secretary. Chair of Study day sub-group. Nominations should be sent to Orla O’ Conor, Occupational Therapy, Central Mental Hospital, Dundrum, Dublin 14 or e-mailed to orla.oconor@hse.ie (please note just one ‘n’) on or before 2pm on the 18th of December 2008. Nominations after this will not be counted. Members may self nominate to positions or nominate another member of AOTI. Nominees who do not self-nominate will be contacted by telephone to confirm |
