Have you been involved in developing a new project or other innovation in stroke care?
We would love to hear from you!
AOTI along with five other professional bodies representing Speech and Language Therapists, podiatry, orthoptics, physiotherapists and dieticians have secured HSE funding to deliver interdisciplinary stroke training in Dec 2010 and Jan, Feb and April 2011. You will be informed of registration details shortly.
As part of this training would like to include a presentation on a project or new initiative developed by (a) professional/s working in stroke care which demonstrates innovation and effective team working and integrated stroke care. This might be a new way of running case conferences with families, a team approach to goal setting with clients, interdisciplinary assessment forms or various groups which have been established.
We present this valuable document to assist you in the provision of professional Occupational Therapy supervision in the workplace. It places emphasis on the importance and significance of supervision for all Occupational Therapists and the place it holds within our professional and personal development. The document has been prepared by a working group on behalf of the National Occupational Therapy Managers’ Advisory Group (NOTMAG). The overall aims of the working group were to clarify the purpose of professional supervision for Occupational Therapists in Ireland and to provide the profession with a set of guidelines for good practice.
On behalf of Association of Occupational Therapists of Ireland Council and the National Occupational Therapists in Management Advisory Group (NOTMAG) of AOTI, we would like to acknowledge and thank most sincerely the Working Group; Aine Clyne, (Co-ordinator), Liz Daly (Lead Author), Suzanne Kiely, Jean O’Sullivan and Clare Gallagher for their commitment and dedication in bringing this project to fruition.
AOTI are pleased to include this professional supervision document as a free download on our members’ website in the Members section. It is also available in hard copy from the AOTI Office at a cost of 5euro. We hope it will be a useful reference for all AOTI members.
