All Occupational Therapists who have completed their training outside of the Republic of Ireland and who wish to work as an O.T. in the Republic, must have their qualification validated by the Department of Health and Children, regardless of their nationality. If you wish to have your qualification validated, please submit the completed application form below to the Department of Health. Please be aware the validation process may take anywhere from 1 month to 6 months depending on the application so please ensure all original documents are provided to ensure minimum processing time.
All visa and work permit queries, should be directed to your employer or the Department of Foreign Affairs. For any future employers of internationally trained OT's - the following document may be of some interest to you.
