Joining the live sessions:

  • The week of the conference, you will receive an email with the final schedule for the day with a resource containing the live Zoom links to all of the sessions.
  • These links can only be accessed by conference registrants.
  • It is essential that your first name and surname are featured in your Zoom profile log-in, as this will enable AOTI moderators to ensure that your name is on the registrant list.
  • Access the ‘join’ links to attend the live program on 9th October 2020.

Conferencing platform:

You may already have experience of using our conference platform ‘Zoom’; however, if you are new to this online audio and web conferencing platform, please download it for free now so you can test your internet speed and sound in advance of AOTI Virtual conference.

If you find your sound is not clear, you can also call on the phone while watching the presentation on your computer.

You can find the call-in numbers and meeting ID by choosing ‘Phone Call’ instead of ‘Computer Audio’ in the popup audio option for each session.

Although you may already have downloaded Zoom, we would encourage you to check that you are using the most updated version of the software in advance of conference .

This Zoom link will allow you to check your own Zoom account to ensure that you are using the most updated version.

If you are watching at your office instead of at home, your employer may have different security settings that do not allow you to access it, so be sure to test it: http://zoom.us/test.

What Internet Speed Do I Need for Zoom?

The bandwidth used by Zoom will automatically adjust for 3G, WiFi or Wired environments. On the Zoom website they recommend that for a group video call you will need bandwidth of 800kbps/1.0Mbps (up/down) for high quality video.

You will need an internet connection of at least between 225 kbps and 670 kbps dedicated to the Zoom call. You can find out more on system requirements by clicking on this link: https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/201362023-SystemRequirements-for-PC-Mac-and-Linux#h_d278c327-e03d-4896-b19a-96a8f3c0c69c

Delegate Etiquette:

We have set-up each session so that when you click on the link for the session your video will be off, and microphone will be muted when you join. If you see either of these on, please ensure you turn them off before the presentation begins (bottom left side of toolbar). Please do not turn them on during the session.

Q & A:

If time permits, there will be an opportunity for questions and answers at the end of each session; you can type your questions into the chat box at any time for the presenter to answer when they have completed their presentation.

We are also inviting our presenters to provide a link from their own Zoom accounts which will be provided in the chat-box during their sessions; as this will allow the opportunity for further Q&A and discussion during the break times.

Access to the recorded sessions

In the week following AOTI Virtual Conference 2020, you will be emailed a link to the website to watch all of the sessions; including those that were recorded live, pre-recorded, and the uploaded posters for a period of 6 weeks post conference.

Certificates of attendance will be emailed to all delegates before end of October 2020.
