Lessons learnt from recent research on community integration for people with disabilities and progressing lifetime communities through Universal Design

On behalf of the National Disability Authority, I would like to invite you to our seminar to discuss the findings of four recent reports we funded under the Research Promotion Scheme 2017-2018.

  • Sandra McCullagh and colleagues from Inclusion Ireland will present on the findings of the report “19 Stories of Social Inclusion – Ireland: Stories of Belonging, Contributing and Connecting”. 
  • Helena Lydon and colleagues from NUI Galway will present findings from their report “New Directions: Evaluation of the first year of implementation in a regional intellectual disability service”.
  • Darren McCausland and colleagues from Trinity College Dublin will present findings from their report “Assessing the Impact of Person-Centred Planning on the Community Integration of Adults with an Intellectual Disability”.
  • Helen Lynch and colleagues from University College Cork will present on findings from their report “Community Parks and Playgrounds: Intergenerational Participation through Universal Design”.

There will be an opportunity for questions and answers on the findings of each report following each presentation.
