AMPS-2 Interpretation and Documentation days are intended to build on AMPS skills developed from using the assessment tool with clients in any area of clinical practice or research. Many occupational therapists attending an AMPS course focus on administering and scoring the AMPS. Later as skills in administering the assessment increase, there is a need to learn more about interpreting, reporting and documenting AMPS results. These two separate but linked follow up days are intended to fill this gap. They can be attended separately (day one only) or together.

Please note: this course is suitable for OTs who have already completed the AMPS 5 day workshop.

Day 1: 2nd October 2019

Following attendance at the AMPS-2 Day 1, participants will be able to:

  • Review their skills in administering and scoring the AMPS in a reliable manner
  • Interpret the AMPS ability measures reported on the AMPS graphic report from criterion and norm-based perspectives
  • Use the AMPS reports to plan and guide occupational therapy intervention (direct and consultative) using the OTIPM (Occupational Therapy Intervention Process Model)

AMPS-2 course participants will receive 6 hours of course instruction facilitated by an AMPS faculty instructor.

Participants will require their own copy of the most recent 7thedition of the AMPS manual and OTAP software.
