In November 2019, the Health Information and Quality Authority (HIQA) published Guidance on a Human Rights-based Approach in Health and Social Care Services.

We are hosting a conference on human rights on 27 May 2020 in Dublin Castle to build awareness of this guidance and support its implementation across health and social care services. The conference will also showcase examples of good practice in services that have utilised a rights based approach to care. Conference registration will open soon on the HIQA website.

HIQA is now inviting abstracts for consideration for poster presentation at this conference. Abstracts that outline good practice in the application of a human rights-based approach in health or social care services are welcome.  Further information can be found - https://www.hiqa.ie/hiqa-news-updates/empowering-people-enhancing-practice-human-rights-based-approach-health-and. Closing date 5pm Friday, 20 March 2020.

Should you require any further information, please contact Sarah Fitzgerald at standards@hiqa.ie or 021-4547710.
