Executive functioning abilities
Now more than ever, occupational therapists are interested in supporting occupational performance skills and participation so that children and young people can engage in everyday tasks and social activities. For almost every task that children and young people complete each day, executive functioning plays a part. Therefore, it can have a significant impact on a child’s ability to participate in age-appropriate activities.
These skills can also be assessed through standardised assessment and non-standardised assessment.
Presented by Dr. Áine O’Dea PhD, MSc, BSc (Hons) OT
