The Paediatric Advisory Group are excited to announce this innovative knowledge to practice online series. This series is aimed at addressing the “gap” we all face with accessing and integrating evidence informed knowledge into our work with children and families.
The series involves two elements:
- Knowledge Sharing Webinars
- Knowledge Integration Facilitated Workshops.
One hour live Knowledge sharing webinars provide an affordable, accessible opportunity to receive evidence informed knowledge, information and resources and timely updates on topics relevant to your practice as Occupational Therapists working with children and youth. The series topics are facilitated by leading Occupational Therapy & Occupational Science researchers, practitioners, and educators working in Ireland often as part of international networks. Each webinar will focus on knowledge for practice. To enhance particpants confidence and skills with integrating this new knowledge into their work, a series of follow up workshops will be facilited by experts in communities of practice and knowledge integration.
Participants will .
- Access current evidence-informed knowledge relevant to Occupational Therapy practice with children and youth .
- Engage in a facilitated process of reflexivity on how to integrate this new knowledge to practice.
- Develop relationships with Occupational Therapists & Scientists working with children and youth in research, education and practice Nationally.
- Participate in affordable and accessible monthly CPD opportunities .
- Receive a seminar specific AOTI CPD Reflective Practice Template with completed details on learning outcomes , dates and times and focused questions to facilitate reflexivity following participation . This will support particpants with completing the documentation requirements of CORU to maintain and develop knowledge skills and attitudes to ensure best standards of practice. This should be used in conjunction with the AOTI CPD portfolio to ensure all of your CPD learning is kept in one place and is easily accessible for organisation purposes and if you were to be audited by CORU.
