The National Clinical Programme for Respiratory is delighted to provide study days from the Cambridge Breathlessness Intervention Service (flyer HERE).
There will be 3 stand alone / separate study days – attendees only attend one of the days.
- 28th September 2022
- 10th November 2022
- 11th January 2023
There are a small number of places available on the November and January dates, but the September date is now full with only waiting list places available for that date.
Each day will provide the same presentations on the Breathing Thinking Functioning model of dyspnoea assessment and management. NCP Respiratory have secured funding from the Integrated Care Programme for Chronic Disease to run these study days without a cost for participants, with a view to advancing the specialist respiratory knowledge and skills of Health Care Professionals. This interactive online study day is for Health Care Professionals working with people with COPD or Asthma, including Community Specialist Respiratory Teams, Respiratory Integrated Care, COPD Outreach, acute and primary care settings. It’s a wonderful opportunity for Health Care Professionals in Ireland to gain an understanding of the Breathing Thinking Functioning model from the multidisciplinary experts who developed this model.
Each of the three days will run from 08:30 – 16:30 and will require that each attendee has an individual screen, microphone and speaker (in computer OR headset) to facilitate interaction throughout the day. Attendees are asked to commit to delivering an update to at least 5 colleagues (from your own team, or, from colleagues in other services) within 8 weeks of completing the course. This is to share the learning from the study day amongst the wider team – building the knowledge and skills of colleagues and strengthening links and collaborations.
If you are interested in attending, please discuss application with your Line Manager / Operation Lead. Please nominate another colleague from your service to attend in the event that you cannot attend (in the event that neither can attend, vacant spaces will be offered to those on the waiting list on a first come first served basis).
If interested in attending, please complete the form HERE and return to Angela Ryan <[email protected]> as soon as possible.
Numbers are limited for these dates: successful applicants will be notified after 29.06.22. If the 3 study days have not filled at that time, another round of applications will be opened.
Please share this email amongst colleagues in your workplace or clinical interest groups who may be interested in attending.
