I am delighted to announce that the Irish Cancer Society is currently accepting applications to its Social, Nursing, and Allied Health Research Scholarship 2021.

The objective of this scholarship is to offer excellent social, nursing, and allied health sciences graduates the opportunity to undertake postgraduate training in cancer research.

A number of changes have been made for the 2021 Social, Nursing, and Allied Health Research Scholarship:

  • The Mobility Element has been adapted in recognition that extended travel is not always possible. It has been replaced with a Mobility and Capacity Building Element. Further details can be
  • Part-time PhDs are now available for nursing and allied health applicants who will hold a concurrent clinical post during the course of the PhD
  • Nursing and allied health professionals who will be taking time away from their professional clinical role may apply for a stipend in line with IUA rates and inclusive of PRSI and employer pension contributions.
