Irish Journal of Occupational Therapy Accepted by SCOPUS

Significant Development for IJOT

AOTI is pleased to announce that the Irish Journal of Occupational Therapy (IJOT) has been accepted by SCOPUS and will be indexed by them in the future. Scopus is the largest abstract and citation database of peer-reviewed literature, scientific journals, books and conference proceedings.

Being indexed in SCOPUS is significant for a number of reasons.  In the future papers published in IJOT will automatically be added to author’s SciVal account (www.elsevier.com/solutions/scival/features). As many universities are using this as a metric the absence of this reduced the incentive to submit to IJOT. With this development, AOTI believe there will be an increase in the number of submissions to IJOT and it will also ensure the continuation of publication of quality research in our journal.

We would like to congratulate the IJOT Committee for all their work that led to this positive development for our journal.
