Launch of Housing Adaptations: Practice Guidelines for Occupational Therapists
New AOTI member resource published
We are delighted to launch the Housing Adaptations: Practice Guidelines for Occupational Therapists document, which was designed as a resource for Occupational Therapists. It aims to guide clinical reasoning and decision making to meet the needs of clients applying for the Housing Adaptation Grant for People with a Disability and the Mobility Aids Grant.
It is a practical guide providing step-by-step information on the Occupational Therapy process. The document outlines a universal approach to develop consistency nationwide for Occupational Therapists involved in the grant process. The document establishes the unique contribution of Occupational Therapy in the housing adaptation process.
We would like to congratulate and thank the Enabling Environment Advisory Group for leading on the development of this valuable new resource for AOTI members. Thanks also to the members of the Older Persons, Private Practice, Seating and Posture in Occupational Therapy, Palliative Care and Oncology, and the Primary Care Advisory Groups who contributed to its development.
The publication can be downloaded here or in the Publications section. As this is a member-only resource, you must be logged in to download it.
