UPDATE: Vaccination for Members in Private Practice
We are happy to be able to provide members working in private practice with information on how to register with the HSE for their COVID-19 Vaccination
Following the recent AOTI meeting regarding vaccination for members in private practice, we compiled a list of concerned members and sent this to the HSE. We appealed for urgent clarification on the roll-out of vaccination for private practitioners. We have now received a response from the HSE and are happy to provide you the information provided by them, which outlines the procedure for private practitioners to register with the HSE for COVID-19 vaccination and the sequence in which people will be vaccinated. You can find the two documents from the HSE here and here.
The HSE is asking you to register on their online portal which is available from today Tuesday 9th February 2021. The portal will be used to facilitate scheduling of your vaccination appointment. After registering your details, you will receive a notification from the HSE with details of your vaccine appointment date and location and a link to re-access the system to consent to the vaccination. The online registration portal can be found at: https://www.hse.ie/hcwvaccine/.
We are very satisfied with this result and hope the good news will give some comfort to our members in private practice. I would like to thank Ann Kennelly, Chairperson of the Private Practice Advisory Group, for leading on this work on behalf of AOTI.
