Welcome to the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Advisory Group

Who we are

The Child and Adolescent Mental Health Advisory Group (CAMHAG) is a group for AOTI members who work in and have a common practice interest in the area of Child and Adolescent Mental Health.  The CAMHAG Committee consists of working therapists who are based in various roles around Ireland.  Our wish as an Advisory Group is to ensure that there is national representation for Occupational Therapists working in the area of Child and Adolescent Mental Health.

What we do.

The purpose of CAMHAG is to develop, promote, facilitate and support the advancement of the Occupational Therapy role and practice within the area of Child and Adolescent Mental Health in Ireland.  We act as an advocate and a voice for Occupational Therapists working in CAMHS.

Benefits of being a member

The benefits of joining the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Advisory Group include:

  • Access to the opportunity of engaging in ongoing professional development through the AG’s CPD events. As a member you can access these events at a substantially lower cost than non-members.  In the case of full CPD event, priority will be given to members first.
  • Being a member provides additional means of networking with other therapists in the area of CAMHS, sharing both expertise and experience.
  • The CAMH AG acts as an advocate for members on national issues that affect the profession as a whole. Being a member of CAMHAG provides you with an opportunity to voice your opinion regarding training needs, national issues etc.
  • Being a member of the CAMHAG provides you with access to support from other therapists working in the same field.
