Module availablity: Permanently available

AOTI CPD Team is bringing back the "Let’s talk about…” webinar series for 2026.
These free monthly webinars are available to attend exclusively for AOTI members. We will be drawing on the great experience and expertise of AOTI members along with some additional special guests to cover a variety of clinical talking points and current topics relevant to Occupational Therapy.
January Webinar: Let's Talk About...Resilience is Ordinary Magic. In our first webinar of 2026, we welcomed back Dr Eithne Hunt who explored some of the contemporary scholarship on resilience and its vital role in wellbeing, within and beyond the workplace. Participants were brought on a journey to consider how they might strengthen the everyday protective factors that support individuals and communities to adapt and thrive under stress.
March Webinar: Let's Talk About...Abstracts: Making the most of 250 words. We were joined by Dr Ciara Ryan and Siobain O'Neill of the AOTI Conference committee who provide an in-depth explanation of the abstract writing process, leaving webinar attendees with the knowledge they need to be confident in writing and submitting an abstract. While this session has a particular focus on the AOTI Conference 2026 call for abstracts, the information discussed is also relevant to anyone who generally is interested in research and may be submitting abstracts to Conference or elsewhere in the future.
June Webinar: Let’s talk about… Regulation: What it is, what it looks like in real life, and why it matters in our Occupational Therapy practice across the lifespan. We welcomed back Amanda Kelly to facilitate this webinar. Amanda is an Occupational Therapist in independent practice, who has over 16 years’ experience working across HSE services, the charity sector and independent work. Her clinical practice is grounded in trauma‑informed, relationship‑based and neuroaffirmative approaches, with a particular interest in nervous system regulation, sensory processing and developmental trauma in everyday life and occupation. In this webinar, Amanda invited us to explore: How we understand “regulation” from a developmental and nervous system perspective, what regulation can look like in children, families and adults in different contexts, how factors such as sensory processing, relationships and environment interact in supporting (or challenging) regulation, how a regulation lens can inform our assessment and clinical reasoning and intervention planning in varied practice settings
These webinars are only available to AOTI members - please log in to your AOTI account for free access to this module.
