The Children and Young Persons Advisory Group (CAYPAG) are excited to announce our final webinar of our 2025 knowledge sharing online seminar series entitled “Grappling with Restrictive Practices as an Occupational Therapist", presented by Joanne McHugh, Clinical Specialist Occupational Therapist, Children’s Disability Network Team, Portlaoise and Anrece O Connor Senior Occupational Therapist, Children’s Disability Network Team, North West Cork.

Learning goals:  

This webinar will:

·         Define what is a restrictive practice 

·         Identify the driving forces towards a restrictive practice free environment

·         Describe the process involved in implementing a restrictive practice

·         Appraise current OT practice

·         Provide guidance for the Occupational Therapist

·         Signpost resources

Access current evidence-informed and occupation-based knowledge and information relevant to Occupational Therapy practice with children and youth.
Develop relationships with Occupational Therapists & Scientists working with children and youth in research, education and practice Nationally.
Participate in monthly CPD opportunities that afford reflexivity and knowledge to practice learning with the provision of a seminar specific AOTI CPD Reflective Practice Template
