| End Date 2 | 25 Oct 2024 |
The Irish Cancer Society are hosting a research skills summer school in Tullamore, delivered by experts Dr Emer Guinan and Dr Linda O’Neill. The course is free of charge.
While we have no set criteria for specialities who can attend, we are encouraging applications from allied health professionals- such as psychologists, occupational therapists, dieticians, physiotherapists, radiation therapists, speech and language therapists, to name a few. We welcome attendees from any discipline (do not currently need to be working in a cancer-related speciality to attend), and the course would particularly suit those finishing undergraduate or about to start a Masters degree.
The course will run across two blocks. Attendees are welcome to join to either Block 1 or 2, or both. The first block will run on September 5th and 6th, which will cover an introduction to research. The second block will run October 24th and 25th, which will cover more advanced topics in research development. For more information and how to apply, please see: Irish Cancer Society's Research Skills Summer School 2024 | Irish Cancer Society
The course is free, but spaces are limited. Tea, coffee and lunch will be provided to all attendees. I would appreciate if you could circulate this with your network at your earliest convenience, to avoid disappointment.
Please note, we will provide four bursaries to support individuals who will need to travel to attend this event. This will be based on distance from course location (Tullamore Library).
