Ronan Hegarty is a health sciences librarian with extensive experience supporting evidence-based practice, literature searching, and systematic reviews. He has served as Executive Librarian at Naas General Hospital since 2017 and previously worked as a librarian with the NHS and the European Medicines Agency in London. Ronan works closely with clinicians, researchers, and students to improve access to high-quality evidence and support evidence-based decision making in healthcare. He regularly delivers training on database searching, reference management, and critical appraisal, and has a particular interest in supporting research, evidence synthesis, and lifelong learning within healthcare settings.

Ronan will be sharing his knowledge and expertise on "Literature and database searhes and referencing" on 21/01/2027 from 1-2 p.m.
