WFOT Council Meeting 2020 – Awards

As you are aware, the WFOT Council Meeting 2020 has been postponed. After careful consideration, the WFOT Executive Management Team have decided the following regarding the Council Meeting 2020 Awards: 

Thelma Cardwell Foundation Award for Research:

This year we received 29 applications from all around the world, representing a wealth of knowledge, methodologies and forms of inquiry of great importance to our profession. The applications were reviewed by members of the Research Programme and the WFOT Executive Team and one of these was selected to be funded. To avoid causing further delays to the researchers that have applied for funding, we are announcing the name of the awardee to you hereby and the applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application immediately following this announcement. 

The Awardee of the Thelma Cardwell Foundation Award for Research 2020 is:

Patty Coker-Bolt, ‘Expanding Occupational Therapy Practices in Russia While Enhancing Awareness, Acceptance and Participation in Adaptive Sport Programs’, awarded $5,500.00. 

Honorary Fellow & Merit Award:

The decision and announcement of awardees is being deferred and will be made at the time of the Council Meeting.
