New AOTI Report: Profile of Research Activity, Skills and Attitudes among Occupational Therapists

AOTI is pleased to publish the findings of its survey exploring research activity, skills, confidence, and attitudes towards evidence-based practice and research among Occupational Therapists in Ireland.

Conducted by the AOTI EBP & Research Committee, the survey provides valuable insight into the current research landscape within the profession. The findings highlight a strong interest in research and evidence-based practice among members, while also identifying key barriers to engagement, including limited protected time, competing clinical demands, funding challenges, and the need for greater mentorship and support.

The report will help shape the future work of the AOTI EBP & Research Committee, informing the development of continuing professional development opportunities, practical supports and research resources for members.

We encourage all members to read the report and learn more about the research priorities, strengths, and needs identified by Occupational Therapists across Ireland.
