Release of the fourth session of the webinar series titled HSCP Leadership in Practice during COVID-19
On behalf of the National Health and Social Care Professions Office, I am pleased to inform you of the release of the fourth session of the webinar series titled ‘HSCP Leadership in Practice during COVID-19’. The Office had released the first three sessions of this leadership series during the first quarter of this year and we are delighted with the responses received this far.
I would like to highlight that this fourth session was recorded prior to the cyberattack but the release of this session was postponed due to the cyberattack and its impacts on services.
Two of our HSCP colleagues, Ms. Paula Maher, Occupational Therapist, North Dublin Mental Health Services and Dr. Maria Gomes, Senior Clinical Psychologist, St. Gabriel’s Children’s Services, Limerick have shared their leadership experience and learning as they endeavoured to deliver person centred care through empowering service users. Sharing from Ms. Sinead Kehoe clearly reveals the impact of Ms. Maher’s work on her life.
The webinar session is available for viewing on both HSE Youtube and RCSI platform. They will be added to the HSCP Hub at a later stage. Kindly share the link as you may see appropriate.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the panel members and Ms. Jackie Reed, National Lead, National HSCP Office for their time and contribution. I would like to acknowledge Ms. Tina Joyce from RCSI Institute of Leadership and her team for their expertise and support in the planning and development of this session.
In the final session of this series, we will be meeting a few HSCP leaders to discuss their lived leadership experience and learning during the past eighteen months.
