To add your Private Practice details to AOTI online directory please login to complete AOTI Directory Information form below and send proof of insurance to [email protected].   To access this benefit you must currently be a practicing type member of AOTI; full time, part time, new graduate or full time postgraduate membership.

We have partnered with Arachas to establish an exclusive insurance scheme for you in collaboration with Association of Occupational Therapists of Ireland (AOTI).

Arachas AOTI Insurance Scheme

The Arachas AOTI Insurance Scheme has been developed specifically to meet the needs of Association of Occupational Therapists of Ireland and to give you the peace of mind that can only be found in a robust package of insurance cover.  

As Ireland’s largest nationwide Insurance Broker, Arachas has negotiated a competitive insurance package through an internationally recognised and solid insurance provider.

The following categories of AOTI members are eligible to avail of the Arachas policy:

• Full Time Practicing
• Part Time Practicing
• New Graduate
• Lifetime 
• Full Time Postgraduate Student

AOTI Members should note that while their AOTI membership year may start at any time in the year, the Arachas insurance policy runs from January 1st to December 31st.

AOTI Members are eligible to avail of the Arachas policy once they are members, as per categories above.

Run Off Cover

For those no longer in private practice, we have also negotiated a reduction in the cost of Run Off cover rates.

For Occupational Therapists ceasing private practice or retiring from private practice, it is advisable that you secure insurance cover to protect you in case there is a retrospective claim against you when you have finished working. This type of insurance is called Run-Off Cover and we have introduced a policy for members which covers you for Malpractice, Public Liability and Professional Indemnity.   

To avail of this run-off cover you must continue your membership with the AOTI for the duration of the run-off period. Below is a breakdown of the cost of this insurance.

Standalone Fitness to Practise Cover

Fitness to Practise cover rate, was €105 in 2025. Currently in discussion with AOTI.
