The theme of the Study Day will be Reviving Occupation
The CAMH Advisory Group committee have continued to meet regularly both remotely and in person over the past two years to continue work on a number of objectives, including planning an in-person study day for you all. We have debated the merits of delivering a study day online and in person, and agree that the potential for networking, social camaraderie and support gained from meeting in person is worth pursuing. While the content of the presentations and talks are invaluable and informative, I think we all do miss connecting in person.
The next OT in CAMHS Study Day will be held on Friday 17th June in Dr. Steevens' Hospital, next to Heuston Station in Dublin City Centre.
We have had a great turn out for previous study days, and we hope to build upon this as there are many new OTs that have joined CAMHS in recent years.
The theme of the Study Day will be Reviving Occupation, where we hope to focus on the creativity and innovation of OTs to adapt and deliver quality services even in uncertain times. We shall have presentations from OTs who have discovered novel and innovative ways of delivering therapy, expanding occupations to outdoor settings, and who have engaged in partnership projects with other organisations.
We will also hold our AGM, review changes in Committee membership, and provide an opportunity for all to reflect upon and discuss recent changes and developments to CAMHS OT practice.
We will send you out a more detailed email in the coming weeks regarding the Study Day and what it entails, but for now you can put the date in your diairies and we really look forward to seeing you all again in person.
